The River Queen sets out from Capt. Hiram’s Resort, taking folks on a tour of the Indian River Lagoon and the St. Sebastian River. Photos by Scott Smart
In the Lagoon, there are Dolphins, Ospreys, and of course Pelicans, who have a National Wildlife Refuge named after them.

Entering the St. Sebastian from the Lagoon, the river is at its widest.

Along the river’s South Prong, the meandering course threads around islets.

The river gets narrower…the banks get closer…we see some local residents.

A mother Egret feeds her young.

The cruise returns along the Lagoon’s banks where Wood Storks, Roseate Spoonbills, and Egrets coexist peacefully.
